Makeup Trends: Eyes- Spring-Summer 2009

EYELINER: Eyeliner really stands out as a trend for eyes in spring/summer collections of 2009. Models at Lanvin, YSL, Narciso Rodriguez, Stella McCartney and Just Cavalli all wore eyeliner. Check out these looks below with smudged liquid eyeliner at Lanvin, a cat eye on the background of a neutral face at YSL and eyes rimmed with black pencil at Just Cavalli.



GILDED GODDESS: Another popular look for spring/summer 2009 is gilded goddess as seen at Monique Lhuillier, Missoni, Baby Phat and Peter Som.



GOLD SMOKY EYE: Gold and bronze colors are also used to create a popular but softer smoky eye with it being seen at Dsquared2, Versace and Oscar de la Renta.


BIG BROWS: The big bold brows are again a trend this season.

Statement Red:This is a definite trend color for lips for spring 2009. Glossy red seems to be the favorite as seen at Thakoon, Michael Kors and Louis Vuitton.

TENDERNESS: For a more subtle look go with rose petal lips or light pink as seen at Hermes, Narciso Rodriguez, Givenchy and other shows.
